Badin Concert Band

2007 All-American Music Festival, Orlando - 2nd Place in Class AA
2005 Heritage Music Festival, Chicago - 1st Place in Class 1A
The Badin Concert Band is the centerpiece of the Badin High School instrumental music program. The Concert Band meets daily as a class during the school year and provides music for formal Badin ceremonies such as Graduation and Honor Society Tapping. In addition, the Concert Band performs at the annual Christmas Concert and Spring Concert, as well as at OMEA competition. Additionally, the Concert Band regularly attends national music festivals at select venues throughout the nation.
Students in Concert Band experience music through performance on their particular instruments. They learn the performance fundamentals of their own instrument, as well as proper methods of ensemble performance. Students also learn basic principles of music theory and the history of music and its place in society.
Membership in the Badin Concert Band is open to all Badin High School students. Previous experience with a musical instrument is recommended, but not required. No audition is necessary for membership in the ensemble.
All Concert Band members are also members of the Pep Band, which performs at Badin boys and girls Varsity Basketball games, as well as pep rallies and other school events.

The Badin Concert Band performs at the 2006 Christmas Concert.
